Who is Karima Horton?

I'm not sure if I can sound normal, but I'll try my best.

I am a Linguistics major/Biblical studies minor here at Tyndale. I'm in my third year and am preparing for going into some sort of ministry overseas.

I like to travel. I like to travel a lot. I was born in Egypt, but we moved to Georgia (the state) when I was three. Now I live in Canada, obviously. I've been to a few other countries and states besides the ones I've lived in, but not nearly enough. I've never been south of the US border, which is a bummer. I plan to fix that sometime in the future.

My other love, which goes along with traveling, is languages. I love languages. Have you ever listened to a bunch of different languages and tried to figure them out? I do, all the time. I have a knack for picking up languages. I mean, I'm not genius, but I find joy in them.

What else do I like? Basically everything Sarah does. We are friends, after all. I'm not as obsessed with Disney and I don't like her dog (she loves it so much. You don't even know.), not because I don't like dogs, but because I've never met him.

That's basically me. You're turn, Sarah! What should we talk about next?

bonjour, hola, ciao, etc.

Hey! So since this is just getting off the ground (and before we scare you off too much), i figured we should introduce ourselves in a little more *formal* way.

So here we go.

I am Sarah. i <3 disney (the music, the movies, the parks - bascially if it's disney, i like it), musicals, doctor who, bbc sherlock, vacations, sunshine, (or sunshine vacations), puppies, pizza and netflix.

i grew up in newfoundland, moved to toronto in 2011, and am currently in my last semester before heading home to do my internship and finish off my degree.

I'm a biblical studies and theology major, with a minor in children's ministry, and focused in pentecostal ministry...i know, its a lot.

i really really love my dog. and food.

internet addict, avid reader of anything that is not real literature, amateur photographer, tumblr-er, pinterest-er, DIY-er, and wannabe nerd.

i've always wanted to have a legit blog. and i am terrible at keeping in contact with people when i'm not in the same town as them. so i'm hoping this is going to keep me from losing my bff forever once we're apart.

find me on pinterest, twitter, and/or tumblr :)

Karima, the ball is in your court. try to make yourself sound a little normal ;)

Hi Hi Hi!!

You probably don't know us, so we thought we'd give you the low down on who we are.

My name is Karima and she's Sarah and we're roommates at Tyndale University, in Canada. We became friends three years ago and watched the rest of our friend group slowly dwindle until us a hand-full of others as our friends moved on from Tyndale. It was sad times. And we are now staring into the end of our time together at Tyndale... It's more sad times.

But being that we're really good friends and don't want to lose that friendship, we've decided to make a blog. Even though we won't be separating paths until mid May when I go to Africa (check out my blog, karimahorton.blogspot.com) and she goes to Newfoundland, we're starting now so that people can get to know us and come to love us.

So, what exactly will we be posting and why should you read our blog? Have you ever seen the vlogbrothers? Well, that's what we're aiming for. That being said, it'll probably fall short. We'll be posting about our lives and what's going on in whatever country we're in, along with funny stories and stuff we think the other person would like. Because that's what we do.

We hope you like our blog and you'll stick with us for a little bit, at least!
